The Marasleion Teaching Center is a neoclassical building used for the education of the Primary Education teachers. The construction of the building was completed in 1905. The Marasleion Teaching Center is connected with the efforts for educational reform and with the ideological ferments as well as the conflicts mainly of the beginning of the previous century. Important personalities, such as Alexandros Delmouzos and Dimitris Glinos, served at the Marasleion Teaching Center and sealed its history, and the educational affairs of our country in general, with their action and innovative ideas and choices. Nowadays, the building belongs to the department of Pedagogy and Primary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
